Lucas Politano Represents Vermont at the U.S. Amateur
Lucas Politano represented Vermont and Ralph Myhre Golf Course at the 126th U.S. Amateur Championship, held at Merion Golf Club and Philadelphia Country Club in Pennsylvania.
Competing against a field of 312 of the country’s top amateur golfers, Lucas opened with an 81 at Merion before responding with a strong 3-over-par 73 at Philadelphia Country Club. He finished the two rounds at 154 (+14) and did not advance to the 64-player match-play portion of the championship.
Reaching the U.S. Amateur for the second time is an outstanding accomplishment. Congratulations, Lucas, on another great showing and for representing Vermont golf and Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the national stage!
