Tekla Fine-Lease Wins Vermont Women’s Amateur; Teegan Duffy Finishes Second
Ralph Myhre Golf Course claimed the top two spots at the 2026 VSWGA Vermont Women’s Amateur Championship, held August 4–6 at Haystack Golf Course.
Tekla Fine-Lease captured her first Vermont Women’s Amateur title with a wire-to-wire victory. She opened the championship with an eagle on the 18th hole to finish at 1-under-par 73—the only player in the field to break par during the opening round.
Fine-Lease followed with rounds of 77 and 78 for a three-day total of 228 (+6), earning an impressive seven-stroke victory.
Fellow Ralph Myhre member Teegan Duffy completed the club’s outstanding 1–2 finish. After opening with a 76, Duffy closed the championship with her best round of the tournament—a 75—to finish second overall at 235 (+13).
Congratulations to Tekla and Teegan on two exceptional performances and for representing Ralph Myhre Golf Course so well on one of Vermont golf’s biggest stages!
