Hello Ralph Myhre Golf Course Members and Tavern on the Tee Customers,
I write to you today to let you know of some upcoming changes in the Tavern on the Tee operation.
As you probably know, most restaurants both nationally and locally are experiencing extreme staff shortages, the Middlebury College Dining Services team is no different. Unfortunately, this means that we will have to reduce our hours and offerings at the Tavern.
Starting Monday, August 2, our new hours will be Monday – Friday 11:00 am – 7:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am – 7:00 pm. With only one staff member working we will not be offering breakfast sandwiches on the weekend mornings. We will however be offering scones, muffins, coffee and variety of other grab and go items. We are also looking to have some items available at the pro shop in the mornings Monday – Friday. You will only be able to purchase alcoholic beverages when the Tavern on the Tee is open.
Our last day of our full menu service will be Sunday, August 22nd. After that day, there will be a variety of premade sandwiches, salads, sushi and a hot dogs, but we will not offer table service or the current hot food menu. You will be able to purchase alcohol during our open times, but please keep in mind there will only be one employee working on a regular basis so please bear with us.
For previously arranged special events we will staff accordingly and look forward to supporting the tournaments and other special events planned throughout the remainder of the season.
We understand that this change is not ideal and it was certainly not planned. We have thoroughly enjoyed serving the golf course community and anticipate that we will be back to normal staffing levels next spring when we open.
